Everybody has to leave, everybody has to leave their home and come back so they can love it again for all new reasons.

Today in Linguistics, my prof told us that the language you learn forms the way you think.

It is hard to learn a language after you have grown. I guess that explains French for me...

Ladies, let me give you some advice. You can throw all your stupid chick-lit, self-help, why-doesn’t-he-love-me books out, because this is all you need to know: Men will treat you the way you let them. There is no such thing as “deserving” respect; you get what you demand from people.. if you demand respect, he will either respect you or he won’t associate with you. It really is that simple.

Library Boy

I have a crush on the Library Boy.
He has a favourite desk by the windows.
He brings his apple, his brown back pack with
His running shoes tucked inside.
He drinks water from a reusable water bottle
and his cheeks are flushed with health.
His hair is tounsled in that “I am too busy with
my studying to care about how I look.”
He is lean but strong, earthy but intelligent.
He always is listening to music.
I go to the library just so I can see him sitting
at work on his MacBook Pro: We match.
I think he is geography. Or something.
He was doing math the other day.
Today I walked by and he caught my eye,
smiled. And I looked at the floor, pretended
I never saw the exchange and continued to
walk to my desk by the window.

IF YOU CAN'T RUN, THEN WALK. AND IF YOU CAN'T WALK, THEN CRAWL. DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO. JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD AND NEVER, EVER GIVE UP."

Romans 12:2

Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.
